CLIMB – Children’s Lives Include Moments of Bravery
Designed especially for children of primary school-going age, who have a significant adult in their lives diagnosed with cancer. The sessions are designed to be fun and involve discussion, art and play to assist children to understand and express the feelings they have.
Throughout the programme the children will develop an understanding of cancer and from this understanding the myths and fears that children can hold about cancer will be dispelled.
“Our youngest came to me each evening last week with a new worry from his worry box. By the end of the week he brought his biggest fear.. that I would die. This enabled us to us to have a reassuring conversation with him about my treatment and recovery, I cannot express the difference this has made to our family”
